Augusta Prep wins first GIAA region football championship

Augusta Prep rallied in the final minute Friday to defeat Westminster, 16-14, for the school's first GIAA region championship. Prep previously won a football region championship in 2013 in the Glory For Christ League.

Two plays later, Chavous punched it in from the 2 to tie the game with 23 seconds remaining. Augusta Prep then went ahead, 16-14, when Chavous scored on the two-point run.
