PREP FAMILY ASSOCIATION
My name is Virginia Wilson and I am excited to be the Prep Family Association (PFA) President for 2024-2026.  As an Augusta Prep Alumni (‘02) and a mother of Charlotte ‘30 and Georgia ‘32, I’ve had the pleasure of being a Prep parent since 2015 and connected to Prep since 1997.  I am excited to step into the role of PFA President, having served on the PFA for many years, and continue the mission of the PFA.

The mission statement of the PFA is to “improve the school environment by offering the considerable and diverse talents of our school families, to support the school faculty and administration, to enhance existing school programs, initiate new activities, and to promote mutual understanding and cooperation.”

The PFA was formed with three goals in mind:
1. to promote and advance the well-being of our school;
2. to foster closer relationships among parents, students, faculty and staff; and
3. to encourage the active participation of all caregivers in school activities.

All of our Augusta Prep enrolled families are automatically members of the PFA and are encouraged to become active in this important organization. To keep informed of PFA events, please join our “Prep PFA” REMIND account.

It is my pleasure to also introduce the PFA Executive Team:

Welcome back to campus! We are excited to kick off a new school year! The Prep Family Association “PFA” welcomed our faculty and staff back to campus on Wednesday by stocking staff lounges with yummy snacks and drinks!

We know you're getting a bunch of emails leading up to the start of school, but we wanted to share with you one PFA tradition that gives back to our teachers- Teacher Treat Tuesdays or Thursdays!

Each week, a parent provides a "treat" at morning drop-off as a simple way to show appreciation for our amazing teachers. It's a tradition our faculty & staff truly look forward to, and it's a great way to support them midweek!

This year, we're giving this tradition a healthy twist! In an effort to care for our teachers’ health, we're moving toward more nourishing options. Of course, your favorite brownies are still welcome and loved! We just ask you keep in mind that many of our teachers are working toward healthier habits- and we'd love to support them!

Here are some ideas:
-Sparkling water or specialty beverages (like Poppi from Costco!)
-Stock their snack bar! (granola bars, RX bars, mixed nuts, popcorn, pretzels)
-Coffee bar items (k-pods, creamer, etc.)
-Fresh fruit or fruit baskets
-Breakfast items like bagels, muffins, parfait bar or even Chick-fil-A!
-Sandwiches or light lunch items
Thank you for helping us take care of those who take such great care of our kids! Please see the following links for lower school, middle school and high school “sign-up genius” forms to claim a day or two! Each division has their own sign-up link!
