Middle School

Come see why we’re the preferred private Middle School in Augusta, Georgia!

Welcome to The Middle! Our halls and classrooms are filled with the energy, excitement, and curiosity that adolescent learners bring with them each day. A challenging and engaging college-prep curriculum, small class sizes, and strong relationships between both teachers and students and students and their peers serve as the framework for our Middle School program, which fosters student motivation and success.
With a focus on respect, responsibility and character development, our dedicated faculty and staff provide a student-centered and balanced approach to education. We give students the support they need to navigate the great cognitive, social, and emotional changes that take place over their middle school years. Our students share their passions, discover talents, develop their sense of self, and create meaningful relationships, all while learning important subject matter and study skills that will enable them to be successful in the Upper School and in future pursuits.
Additionally, our academic curriculum is enhanced by offerings in technology, drama, art, music, and daily physical education, as well as service activities, field trips and class retreats. Small advisory groups meet weekly throughout a student’s four years in the Middle School, providing time for relationship building and advisee support. Middle School students are invited to participate in a strong sports program, and clubs and enrichment programs are offered throughout the year. We encourage our students to sample a bit of everything we offer!

I am lucky to call the Middle School home. It is incredibly rewarding to watch our middle schoolers grow and learn over the years. Our students support one another, care for one another, and rise to the challenges before them. Faculty and staff are passionate about our learners and their courses.  Every day presents a new opportunity to celebrate success, tackle something new, and have fun together. I look forward to seeing you on campus and invite you to visit and get a closer look at what makes Augusta Prep such a special place to learn.
