Students learn in many ways – including through the arts. That’s why we emphasize the creative opportunities available to our students, because it grants them a chance to give back by showcasing their talent. It’s one more reason we are one of the best schools in Augusta, GA!
Our Upper School Theatre students have presented titles such as "Almost Maine,” “Best of Broadway,” “The Sound of Music,” and this past year a championship performance of “The Firecracker Incident” at the State One Act competition. Augusta Prep faculty, staff, and students receive one free ticket to every performance, with tickets available for purchase to the general public.
Middle School students in the 7th and 8th grade can enjoy one semester of musical theatre, either in the fall or spring. Each class presents a full production at the end of the semester. Musicals by the Theatre Department have become sellout hits and have established Prep as one of Augusta’s premiere theatrical organizations.
Augusta Preparatory Day School is an independent, college preparatory school serving children ages 2 through Grade 12 from the greater Augusta-Aiken area. Augusta Prep seeks to enroll a group of diverse students. We follow an open admission policy, whereby qualified candidates are admitted without regard to religion, race, nationality, economic background, or ethnic origin.
