Augusta Prep celebrates Class of 2025 graduation

The 36 members of the Augusta Prep Class of 2025 celebrated their graduation today inside the Boardman Athletic Center. Augusta Prep's graduating class had an 100 percent college acceptance rate, with multiple students planning to attend popular colleges like the University of Georgia, University of South Carolina, Georgia Institute of Technology, College of Charleston, Emory University, Augusta University and Auburn University. Valedictorian Grace Greer plans to attend the University of South Carolina, while salutatorian Hayden Post will attend Georgia Tech.

 
 
Augusta Prep alum Dr. Lawrence Lamb (Class of '71) delivered his charge to the senior class. Dr. Lamb is the co-founder of IN8bio, the mission of the company developing next-generation cellular therapies for treating cancer. From 2004 to 2018, Dr. Lamb was a Professor of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, or UAB, specializing in transplantation immunology, and also served as the Director of the UAB Cell Therapy Laboratory in the Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy department. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2000, he served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from 2000 to 2004 and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Lamb currently serves on several national and international committees related to cell and gene therapy., per the IN8bio website.

Eli McFadgen, became the first recipient of the W. Rodger Giles Scholarship from Heritage Academy Augusta to attend - and now graduate from - Augusta Prep.
