Augusta Prep held its Class of 2026 commencement on Saturday, May 23, inside the Hull Fine Arts Center. William Helfgott (c/o '21), the founder and CEO of River Bluff Honey and a graduate of the College of Charleston's Honors College, delivered the charge to the senior class.
Thirty-four students graduated on Saturday. While many of these students selected popular state colleges like the University of Georgia, Georgia Southern University and the University of South Carolina, some students will be traveling to the Ivy League to attend Cornell and others to prestigious institutions like Tufts University. Another popular choice was Augusta University, an R2 research facility. Three students chose to attend a popular local trade school, Augusta Technical College.
Valedictorian, Yahan Su, and salutatorian, Lillian Clapp, each earned prestigious Stamps scholarships to Georgia Tech (Yahan) and Wake Forest (Lillian). These merit-based scholarships are awarded to a limited number of students at a select number of schools, and the scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, fees, housing, meals, books and more.
