Varsity football loses a nail biter against BCA

Augusta Prep's varsity football team took the field last Friday night against Bethlehem Christian Academy. While Prep only had 5 subs on the sideline the Knights brought over 40 players. But Prep was up to the task, it was a back and forth battle all night long. While the numbers favored the knights the Cavaliers found a 2nd and 3rd wind thanks to help of mighty group of fans. The stadium rumble with cheers, ooos and ahhs for most of the night. The game came down to the last two minutes. Despite a hard fought battle the mighty Cavaliers fell just a little bit short. Everyone from the coaches, to the parents, to the fans all had the same thing to say. That Augusta Prep football played with tremendous heart teamwork.

The Cavaliers will look to rebound this week as they travel to Lake Oconee Academy for their first road games.
