Prep's Kho receives classroom honor

Augusta Prep's Ryan Kho received a second surprise in three months. In November, Kho was named the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) Middle School Teacher of the Year. On Tuesday, Jan. 12, Kho learned his classroom was dedicated to him by the Nussbaum family.
Dr. Julian Nussbaum said he was looking for a way to honor Kho after attending an Open House and seeing no plaque by his classroom door. Now, a unique plaque resides with a mathematical equation on it, the symbol translating to "There exists only one" in front of Ryan Kho's name.

"It's not that there should be a plaque outside his classroom, but specifically Mr. Kho has made such an impact on so many kids' lives," Dr. Nussbaum said. "All teachers here do. They're our greatest asset. This is just something we wanted to do."
