Augusta Prep senior signs athletic offer with NCAA Division I school

Augusta Prep senior Aine Trapp signed an offer Tuesday to run cross country and track at the College of Charleston at a ceremony in the Boardman Athletic Center.  The Cougars compete in the NCAA Division I Coastal Athletic Conference.
In the fall, Aine (pronounced Annie) will join her brother, Hayes, in collegiate cross country and track. Last year, Hayes, Augusta Prep c/o '23, signed to run at Division I William & Mary.

Aine won her fourth consecutive GIAA cross country individual championship in the fall. During her junior season, Aine won the 3,200-meter championship at the GIAA track and field state meet. During her sophomore season, Aine won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 en route to becoming the high point finisher at the state track and field meet.

Aine will compete in the 2024 GIAA state track and field meet this Thursday through Saturday.
