Augusta Prep soccer earns team Academic Award

With its excellent performance in the classroom, the Augusta Prep girls soccer team was recently recognized by United Soccer Coaches as a team academic award winner for the 2021-2022 school year.
According to a press release, United Soccer coaches "annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year."

Augusta Prep, which won its third state championship in four years in May, also posted the top team GPA of any girls program in Georgia, with a 4.21 GPA. Only 13 of 189 programs nationwide posted a higher team GPA than Augusta Prep.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

During the summer, Augusta Prep Class of 2022 graduates Mae Wallace Baker, Sage Connolly and Beatty Joseph were each recognized as High School Scholar All-Americans, each of them sporting a weighted GPA of 4.3 or higher.

Augusta Prep, THE TOP PRIVATE SCHOOL AND COLLEGE PREP SCHOOL IN THE AUGUSTA AREA, congratulates the 2021-2022 girls soccer team for this academic achievement.
