Background:
Todd grew up in Augusta, playing baseball and football at Butler High School. He attended Andrew College for two years on a baseball scholarship (he was a team captain), before transferring to Augusta University.

How he got into teaching: Todd began his teaching career in 1993 at Tubman Middle School.
"After my first year in college, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and coach," he said. "I was very fortunate at a young age to have great coaches and mentors who made a positive impact in my life. I love working with students and helping them develop academically and athletically. There is no greater profession than being a teacher and I am so grateful of the opportunity I have each day to work with students, faculty, and parents."

How he found Prep: In February, Todd was hired to become the second head football coach in Augusta Prep history, replacing Harry Bacheller. Todd previously served as head coach at Hephzibah and Harlem.
"When I got the job, I started having Saturday morning workouts with the players to get to know them. After the first workout I knew we had some special young men with great work ethics and high character. In May, we were able to do a week of Spring Practice and now we are in our summer phase of practice.
"It is a pleasure to lead this program and I am blessed to have such great young men and assistant coaches."

What he enjoys about Prep: "Augusta Prep is a special place and I love the Family atmosphere. Everyone here is committed to the students and their success, and is always willing to help out. I am honored to be a part of The Augusta Prep Family!"

Hobbies: Working in the yard, Hunting, Fishing, and Spending time with his family. Todd also enjoys 1980s music ("I listen to it every day!").
