Parent League Special Programs

The Parent League held the first Mindful Manners parent seminar in January. At that meeting, Dr. Dale Peeples, an associate professor and board certified child psychiatrist at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, guided us through various mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression, and how these issues may manifest in children at different ages. He further discussed treatment options that we as parents may proactively take (e.g., lifestyle changes) as well as treatment possibilities with experts in our community (e.g., cognitive behavior therapy).

To read more about childhood anxiety and depression and ways they can be treated, read Dr. Peeples' presentation by clicking here.
