Q. What are the prices for summer camp?
A. Each camp is priced differently, please see our Camp Cavalier page for a detailed explanation of camp offerings

Q. What should my camper bring?
A. Each list will differ depending on the camp, please refer to the individual camp details for a list of what each camper needs.  If your child is attending a full day camp they will need to bring a nut-free sack lunch.  In most cases it is encouraged to send your child to camp with close-toed shoes, sunscreen, a water bottle, and activity appropriate attire.

Q. Can my child attend summer camp at Augusta Prep if he or she is not an Augusta Prep Student?

A: Yes! We offer a wide variety of summer camps that are open to students from all area schools. There are a few academic Jumpstart camps in Week 8 that are closed to the general public. They are designed to help prepare Augusta Prep’s students for the specific grade they will enter in the fall.

Q. Do I have to complete a physical to attend?

A. All sports camps require a current physical before you attend.  Please click HERE to find the physical form.  Current physicals used for school or league sports will suffice.

Q. Can I register online?
A. Yes, please click here to find our registration page.
Q. How can I pay for camp?
A. All registrations and payments are handled online through ACTIVE with the exception of Challenger Sports Camps.
Q. Is there a waiting list?
A. Yes, we have a waiting list for camps that are full.  If you get a message after registration that "this session is closed due to full enrollment", please contact and request to be placed on the waiting list for the desired camp.
Q. What if I am unable to attend the session I registered for?

A. A full refund (minus a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee) will be issued if withdrawal is on or before two weeks prior to the camp start date. NO refunds will be given after this time period and no refunds will be issued for absences.  Although it is unfortunate, some campers do leave Camp Cavalier mid-session due to illness, injury, or other extraordinary circumstances.  We rarely will reimburse or pro-rate a refund due to a camper leaving mid-session as we will have already incurred the costs for the camper at the time of their arrival.  If you have any questions about this policy, please contact our Director of Extracurricular Programs, Kenietha McRae at

Q. What kind of supervision is provided?
A. The ratios for each camp differ, to find supervision ratios for each of our camps please see the detailed camp information.  Generally speaking our camps have excellent instructor: camper ratios to assure our campers are getting the most out of their camp experience.
Q. What are the backgrounds and experiences of the camp staff?
A. Each of our camp directors are considered experts in their fields. Most of our camp directors are Augusta Prep faculty members meaning they hold at least an undergraduate degree in their field of study and in most cases graduate degrees.  Every camp director on staff has a clear background check and drug/alcohol screen and has gone through a complete interview process with our Director of Extracurricular Programs. We pride ourselves on maintaining a staff of experts to deliver some of the most enriching camp experiences in the Southeast.
Q. What happens if my child becomes ill or is injured?
A. Minor medical treatment will be provided by the camp staff.  If your child becomes acutely ill or appears sick with a contagious illness we will contact you and the child will be sent home. If you suspect that your child has been exposed to a contagious illness (such as chickenpox or head lice) before coming to camp, or has had a fever within the 24 hours before camp arrival, please call the Director of Extracurricular Programs to discuss rescheduling your child.

Q: Can my child attend a half-day of Ants or Grasshoppers before or after his or her specialty, Academic, or Sports camp?

A: At this time, we are suspending our mix and match camp options to minis COVD-19 exposure. Morning and afternoon camps are specifically designed to be mixed and matched for full-day coverage. For example, if your child attends a morning specialty/Academic/Sports camp, he or she may complete the day with an afternoon at Grasshoppers, Ants, or any other Afternoon specialty program.

Q: What happens if Augusta Prep cancels a camp for which we registered?

A: If a camp is canceled for any reason, we will contact you via email and offer you the option of transferring to another camp or receiving a full refund.
