Augusta Prep sophomore, Selden Hunnicutt, daughter of Greg and Susan Hunnicutt of Grovetown, has received the National Spanish Exam Global Scholarship Award. This July, Selden will spend two weeks in the Spanish immersion program of the Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota. She was chosen based on her superior score on the National Spanish Exam.
She is currently studying level three Spanish in Ms. Anderson’s class. In the future, Selden would like to study the Portuguese language and pursue a career in diplomacy.
Although Selden is a stellar scholar, she has many interests. She is a dancer, a cheerleader, and an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. We wish her the best on her 2010 summer adventure.
